Knew this was a warhunden thread instantly after seeing the title.

I'm getting real good at this...when are the ZH forum all stars being announced?!

Didn't know there was a poll for probe allstars and I'm both glad and surprised to be chosen as allstar considering how terrible I played this season.

I don't think we should look at the stats when you compare defenders, because blocking a pass/shot and clearing the puck in front of the crease aren't showing in stats.
yea it is, that is a pickup.

pickup doenst really show the defensive work in a game. You can have a lot of pickup without blocking any shots, you can also have very few pickups and block a lot of shots. Doesnt really show much besides the fact that someone touched the puck a lot.

I obviously know that, but that's not what Yoda said.. Yoda said intercepting passes and blocking shots don't count towards stats, when they do... It's a pickup. Generally the good defenders have high pickup counts because they are blocking passes and shots and they are out clicking their opponents. Now if you want to discuss the weight of an intercepted pass only counting for a pickup when you can get a pickup just by someone clicking into you, then yea I agree.
