Watermelon Coaching For Hire

Post by Watermelon » Sat Aug 01, 2015 7:15 pm

With multiple requests coming my way this week, I've decided to set up paid coaching and see where it goes. Read over this post and contact me if you would like to pay for coaching in Zealot Hockey.

Note: this is for skaters only, do not come to me for goalie advice

Why me?

I know what I'm talking about
I've been an all-star in ZHL for every season it's been in existence, I can play every position at a high level, and I'm observant enough to know not only how to execute different strategies, but why they're more or less effective than others. Whether you're a 1st rounder or an undrafted public player, I can help you improve.

I've had a lot of coaching success in the past
I signed up as an owner in ZHL season 4 with the goal of helping players improve dramatically, and my players did just that. This is probably one of the reasons our probe team obtained the #1 seed.

Season 4 Shakuras to Season 5:
Art: 4th round -> 2nd round
Tenkz: 5th round -> 4th round
Swift: 7th round -> 3rd round
Kwakster: 9th round -> 3rd round
Burchester: 10th round -> 7th round
All: 11th round -> 3rd round

You'll notice I left a few names off this list. I've found the only players who don't improve from my coaching are those who simply aren't committed to improving. If you're one of those people, don't bother contacting me, because I can't help you.

The coaching process

1. Schedule/Pay: We schedule a block of time for coaching, and you pay me by a deadline of 24 hours before the scheduled time. This will be done through a paypal business invoice to your email address. You will need to have a replay that represents your current skill level (casted game or an inhouse), for the first hour especially.

2. Replay: We will first go over your replay with Teamspeak (mic on your end is optional). I will point out everything you're doing wrong in each aspect of skating, and how you could be doing better. These notes will be recorded and given to you for your own future reference.

3. Demonstration/Mechanics: After replay analysis, we will go into an empty rink provide visual demonstration of the techniques and mechanics you were lacking in the replay. Blitzerg and I will make sure you understand how to perform them on your own so that you may begin practicing them in every game.

4. Notes and visuals: You will be provided with detailed notes and labeled screenshots showing what we went over in the form of a private google doc, for your own reference and to help further practice.

Prices

Individual Coaching (Watermelon + Blitzerg) 1 hour: $15.00
This includes replay analysis, note sharing, and mechanics practice, all with Teamspeak or Skype. Just one hour can make a huge difference in the way you see the game, and can really give you a foundation for consistent improvement. This will include visual aid given to you for future reference.

Replay only: $5.00 (Watermelon)
You send me a replay, I give you a detailed report of what you're doing poorly and how you can improve. No personal interaction.

:!: Team Coaching (Watermelon + Blitzerg) 2 hours: $25.00
Team package means you can have 3+ players in the same coaching session. As you may know, Blitzerg and I won ZHL Season 4 together in dominating fashion. This is a combo wombo coaching package. We will not only coach individual tactics, but help you improve your teamwork as a cohesive unit. 2+ hours is required for this. If you want more than 2 hours, each additional hour will cost $15.00

Contact information:
1. Message myself or Blitzerg on Starcraft II (NA server). We are online often. If you don't see my name, you can add me as a friend from the Officers tab of the Zealot Hockey group.
2. PM me on this forum. Just login/register to this forum and click the PM button below my avatar.

Confidentiality: We will not publicize who we are coaching, though it may become known by people stalking my match history.

All these reasons are subjective therefore no one should trust water.
How do you like nirvana fallacies now? huh.

PS: Sorry for double post.

All I see is a straw man. Go back to logic 101.
