EU Play Style v. NA Play Style

Post by Pinkamena » Fri Jun 06, 2014 9:27 pm

I've heard a lot about how EU players play zh differently than NA players do, but I'm still not quite sure what the difference between them is. Can someone please enlighten me? :D

From what I've heard, EU players use the S key to stop a lot more, and they rely more on passing and less on driving to the net than we do.

They pretty much always come to a complete stop when they shoot. Or pass. Or catch a pass. I think stopping is good sometimes but I don't get why youd stop before shooting

Stopping before shooting on a breakaway when you are in the dead middle of the ice makes it so you don't have to dedicate to once side which could possibly make it easier for the goalie to save it. If you stop a bit before you still have the option to go top or bottom corner. This only works when you have a lot of time on the breakaway. EU does pass A LOT more then NA pubs and usually don't drive for dunks/dance goals as much.

That's what I noticed in my 1-2 times I went to EU.
