Help with Top Plays

Post by ProfessorX » Mon Apr 13, 2015 1:00 am

Heyooo!

So I enjoy the EU top play videos that come out (<3 junky), and I'd love to maybe do something similar for the ZHL4 season.

I mentioned in today's chat about doing a top 5 per round, but I decided against that. With 2 rounds per week on top of maintaining the ZHL youtube AND playing probe games -- I just wouldn't have the time. Also I think the quality would suck with such a small sample size of games.
I was thinking maybe a top 10 every 4/5 rounds maybe? What do you guys want? I still have to evaluate how long it'll take me capture, record, and edit just one of them, so if it's too much I'll just do a couple for the regular season and one for the post season.

BUT, I need some help.

I'd like to make them with the actual replay files of the games. I'd rip them from the cast, but sometimes the camera isn't centered properly or its moving too fast; plus different casters have different settings so the ice/graphics look different. With the replays I'll be able to fix everything so it's uniform and find better camera angles.

If there's any interest in this, I'd need someone from either team to send me the replays of every ZHL and ZHPL match from now until forever. Even if there isn't anything spectacular, I might still use the footage for other ZH projects I'm working on ^_^

Thoughts, comments, blah blah? Thank youu<3

When profx on job, its guaranteed success.
I suggest to automatized the process - for example - instead of one person going through all the replays ppl suggest - ask each owner to send in 3 plays they want his/her team to be remembered by. And ask each caster to nominated the best play in their mind.

This sounds like much of work, so huge respect to you, ProX!
But I have to agree - wouldnt be when other players, casters, owners just nominate some particular plays?

For sure that would definitely make it a lot easier, I just think people sometimes forget in the midst of a game and becomes a blur. I've asked for replays of sick goals before but people too busy and email always empty T_T

I would be willing to email you all the Char Meleons replays for ZHL... but I can't for the probe league because I'm usually not in those games.

Or you guys can clone Junky. Great guy. Sick video editing skills.
By the way - NA ppl were asked to send their playzs to Junky - not many playzs were submitted - I guess - NA ppl are just not interested in having "TOP 10"s videos.

Thanks Zach!! #MELONHEADS

Perhaps the caster for each night could send me the replays after the games conclude?
