Re: what contributes to the block statistic?
The current implementation of non-goalie "Blocks" is that it is incremented by 1 each time a skater achieves possession of the puck while the puck is not held by anyone. This would include intercepting opponent passes/shots, but currently also includes receiving passes from teammates. Thus "Blocks" may be reworded to something along the lines of "Times Received Puck", or the "Blocks" will not increment when receiving allied passes.

Re: what contributes to the block statistic?
Interesting, if it's a reception/interception stat then maybe it should be denoted as such? Block has the connotation of a shot attempt. If there was a way to distinguish between receptions and interceptions (and turnovers from same team steals) that would be nice also. I really would like a specific Goalie Blocks stat though, as well as shot attempts, possession time, and I'm sure Wildfire has a few other good ideas. Some other miscellaneous stat sheet changes I would like include a delineation between teams, whether that's a gap or line or what have you, a team cumulative row, and renaming the Steal/Turnover Ratio to some abbreviation like STR, so it takes up less room. Really, people love stats and the more you add the better.
